Robert Medina (Rosebud Sioux Tribe) is the artist behind Wakinyan Cikala Designs, creating handcrafted beaded lanyards and pins. Born in Rapid City, South Dakota, Robert developed strong leadership and community values early on through mentorship programs, the arts, and youth advocacy.

He went on to serve nine years in the United States Marine Corps as a Logistician, completing multiple overseas deployments and leading community initiatives like the Toys for Tots program. After retiring as a Staff Sergeant, he continued his education at the University of Southern California, studying Business Administration.

Now based in Los Angeles, Robert remains deeply connected to his roots and is passionate about representation, mentorship, and supporting BIPOC communities. His work reflects culture, resilience, and the importance of connection through craftsmanship and storytelling.
