House of Hopkins
Hello!
I am Kathryn Hopkins (Seneca, Cattaraugus Indian Reservation, New York), lead designer of House of Hopkins. I create intricately beaded clutches, jewelry, and select apparel using a range of materials including seed beads, quills, fine textiles, leather, and upcycled fur, finished with silver- and gold-plated elements.
As a Seneca artist, I incorporate traditional Haudenosaunee raised beadwork into my designs, a distinctive form of Native American embroidery that reflects both heritage and innovation.
My passion for design began early through cultural dance, pageantry, and learning beadwork and sewing alongside my family. After studying fashion and serving in the U.S. Army, I returned to my creative path, completing a degree in Fashion Management and building my career through exhibitions, competitions, and retail experience across the country.
Today, I am a juried artist with the SWAIA Santa Fe Indian Art Market, a listed artisan with the Indian Arts and Crafts Board, and an active member of multiple art communities.
My designs come from the heart, created to make the wearer feel confident, seen, and bold.
